There is a very noticeable lack of women in the Davidsfarm videos. Of the 1000+ videos there were only seven videos tagged women and 27 videos tagged girls. I know that there are a few more videos with women in them which are not tagged women or girls but it is only a handful. The examples below give a flavour of the type of role women have on Davidsfarm.
The title of ‘Scare the girls in the redneck rollercoaster’ (posted 19 June 2008) says it all.
Two attractive women feature in ‘Girls learn to ride at Dave’s farm’ (posted 9 August 2008) – hmm, a double entendre there.
‘Jen drives the huge dozer, and random wormage’ (posted 5 June 2009) features a slight, attractive young woman learning how to drive a large bulldozer.

Commentary
There is more discussion about Wolf, the dog in the ’scare the girls’ video than the two girls in it. There are a few references about the ‘fat’ girl. And one fan complimented the girls for not being scared at all. But overall there was very little interest in the girls – maybe because they were not scared; maybe because they were not attractive enough; maybe because the fans who commented were quite young male teens who are more interested in dogs and cars than girls.
However, in ‘girls learn to ride’, there was more interest in the young women who are described as ‘hot’. Yet there is still a lot of discussion around the bikes – so much so that one fan in exasperation wonders what’s wrong with those guys who ignore the hot girls and talk about bikes.
However, there is a lot of discussion about Jen in ‘Jen drives the huge dozer’. One fan describes her as ‘beautiful’. Is it because she is attractive but slight – not threatening, yet a girl who drives a Dodge and learns pretty quickly how to drive a bulldozer?
